FINISHING WHAT I STARTED (LINUX GTUC)!!!

hello pals, i’m back at blogging. i’ve being away for a very long time and most of you have probably forgotten about me.

my absence was due to the intense pressure on me from school. I’m back and this time around is for good.

so let’s start with lunching on LINUX GTUC.

mmmmmmhhhhh!!!!! interesting topic. The school wanted to do that but they weren’t successful with it.

I’ve now taken it upon myself to establish it before leaving school since i’m in my final year.

the good, better and best news here is that, i’ve done all the underground work that will help me kick start my agenda.

i’ve managed to get more than half of the student body to run ubuntu and that puts me in a better position to lunch this group.

i’ve managed to wet their appetite with the help of COMPIZ-FUSION which is not present in their windows.

As more problems keep coming up from basic installation to configuring with problems of wireless cards not working and the best of them all this

familiar statement “MY COMPIZ (effects) IS NOT WORKING“,

hahahahah!!!!!  i think it is time to join hands and help each other and leave for the true meaning of the philosophical idea,

“UBUNTU” (finding fulfillment through interacting with other people)…..

dual booting ubuntu with macOS.X

i decided to spice up ma life by dual booting my Ubuntu 8.04 with  Mac.OS.X Leo4All on ma HP 530. this is how i went about da whole stuff. i first installed Mac and after battling it out with the installation, everything went out as planned. so now time to install my Ubuntu Hardy.

After installing the Ubuntu 8.04 (Hardy), and restarting, i found out that ma macOS was not included in ma grub boot loader. ma machine just boots into Ubuntu and i have no access to MacOS.

linux GTUC

i’m at it again. this time around i’m not installing linux on the boxes of collegues but rather teaching them how to perform the installation. this should offer me the opportunity to put machel’s(a friend) dream in place, thus lunching of linux GTUC. I’ve got everything in place for the commencement of the club and on friday 2nd november,2007 i’m going to lecture the first batch of members.
